We went out for lunch Sunday. As we were in line the woman in front of us was picking her toppings.
"I want green cheese" she said.
The girl behind the counter looked puzzled. "Do you mean sour cream or shredded cheese"?
No, That green cheese y'all have.
I'm sorry but we don't have green cheese, just the shredded cheese.
"There it is", as she pointed thru the glass, "That green cheese"
"OH, OK, ma'am we call that guacamole".

You can't make that stuff up!
LOL! Hilarious!
And suddenly I'm thinking of THE ODD COUPLE:
Oscar: "I have brown sandwiches and green sandwiches."
Murray: "What's the green sandwich?"
Oscar: "It's either very new cheese or very old meat."
Oh, my. :-)

Haha, that is hilarious. Props to the lady for knowing what she likes and to guac for its general awesome deliciousness.
Bummed when no posts for a while but man, you overhear gold! Hope all is well.
BwaHA! That girl behind the counter is going to be telling this story for a long time to come!
Oh My.... Cheese.
Seriously. This woman doesn't know guacamole?
How can she even be from the south?
Awesome!
Hahaha.
Yikes. I am so embarrassed for her I can't think straight.
Bwhahahaaaa! Bless her little confused heart.
Laughing my ass off!
never forget the time I went on a double date and the stupid girl sitting across from me ordered a "quesadilla, but without the cheese." I don't speak a lot of Spanish, but I do know enough to tell her (politely, I am not that mean) that queso means cheese and she should order just a plain tortilla, to which she replied, "I ALWAYS order it that way, they know exactly what I mean." Yeah, as they are laughing at her in the kitchen....
best,
MOV
