On The Road Again

This blog finds me in St Louis. So far all I have seen is highways and traffic.

The trip started out with a delayed flight. Not sure why I was excited to finally get on this plane. During the flight instructions they mentioned the seat cushions were flotation devices. There is no way the bricks I was sitting on would float.

Tomorrow I will be pulling samples from the bore of a turbine we are inspecting. The last time I did this was a nightmare. Since then I have rebuilt the unit and had new cutters made so I hope this one goes better. We will know tomorrow nite how well it goes.

Time to go to bed. 5:45 comes early.

Overheard At the Ball Field

Yesterday it was Little A’s game. She was excited because College Sis A was in town and Big Sis A were both coming to watch. The earlier game was running long so we were standing around talking when we realized College Sis A had a tattoo on her foot. It was kind of an open circle made with a brush then tattooed . Her comment when asked about it? “Well, It could have been bigger”.

Big Sis A leaned over to me and said with a grin, “I’m lookin more and more like the golden child every day”. LOL

BTW, Her team won. That's two in a row.

Overheard At The Resturant

Well technically I didnt overhear this, I was in on the conversation.

I was on the road, working in Arizona. We typically have a celebratory dinner after each project is completed so that includes a few extra drinks. We were well into the meal when one guy spoke about his wife being jealous and wernt wild about him traveling. Another guy suggested he needed an open marriage like his. Then he went into a decription of his marriage including how they made more money selling explicit photos of his wife online than at their regular jobs.

Being one always at a loss for words I sat there mouth agape. How can you do that? I definitely look at him differently now and I can imagine I will look at her in a more uncomfortable light now too. No not like that!!

Am I being a prude?

I dont have a Facebook account but the wife does and she keeps me up to date on the goings on.

If it wern't for Facebook.....

I wouldn't know not to call my daughter because she worked a double shift.

My dinner might have been ready before 8:30

I wouldn't know my sons status was ENGAGED?? What the?? He still aint called yet.

Overheard at the Resturant

As we were waiting for our meal last nite we heard the ladies behind us talking about "Jersey Shore".

One lady says "Did you know I am the same size as Snooki"?

Imagine the self restraint I had to exercise to not look over the seat.

TV Just Got Good

I have a new guilty pleasure. I have recently discovered the new reality show, “Sons Of Guns”.



I’m a tinkerer and have always enjoyed the shows where they build and modify things. I also enjoy shooting occasionally. But a show where they build and modify guns!! Oh My!!



I was thinking, I could do that. And they are hiring.



Excuse me but is me but does this show make my neck look red?

OH!! Canada, You've Changed

Softball season is in. So Saturday morn I took Little A to her first practice of the year. On the way home we drive by this large patch of Bamboo that grows right up to the edge of the road. Little A says wow Bamboo!!



I thought it grew in Canada



where the Koalas are.
