If it Wernt for Facebook

I dont have a Facebook account but the wife does and she keeps me up to date on the goings on.

If it wern't for Facebook.....

I wouldn't know not to call my daughter because she worked a double shift.

My dinner might have been ready before 8:30

I wouldn't know my sons status was ENGAGED?? What the?? He still aint called yet.

:) There are worst things to find out about on FB....and if they dont want you to know - they should message their friends....Engaged is not bad (or was he pulling your leg?)... I enjoy that the kids are out and having fun and they even send me pictures....I have learned good things....and then I learned one of them "defriended" me....Mmmm what's that about?

Don't feel bad, that's where I get most of my info about friends and family too. You need to get your own facebook page,I'll befriend you. Have a good one!

I've learned that NONE of my cousins can spell. (I am in great fear for this generation)

I've learned that my own mother refused to "friend" me.

I've learned that a really good friend of mine went from happily married with no kids to divorced with a 5 year old.

I've learned some things about the people I work with that I probably shouldn't know.

Lastly, I've seen things that can never be unseen. ((shutter)) -J

I am in 100% agreement with Julianna on this one.

Some things should NOT be shared on FB (or anywhere else).

I was better off without FB. Now when I read some of the stuff on there - my blood pressure soars. Better off not knowing...

If that was my kid, I'd get my own facebook and then de friend him....that'll learn him.

honestly...I'd be angry and hurt, but this generation (now I sound like my grandmother)does things so differently. No one on one communication, social skill down the toilet and everything is fast fast fast.

I've learned a lot on facebook...like my ex boy friend is gay....NOT MY FAULT, btw....lol

I learned that a life-long friend was having a Christmas party and I wasn't invited, after many years of attending. She's not so much of a friend anymore.

My kids are on facebook. I set up an account trying to find 2 old friends. I found them, gave them my email address and haven't been back on since. I don't like the layout and it just strikes as something for kids. I know not everyone feels that way I just don't feel it's worth my time and effort. I prefer a phone call, yes I am old fashioned. I'll even take an email or a text if necessary. I have my blog and that's good enough for me. But then, I also don't feel the need to be connected to the world at all times. I happen to enjoy peace and quiet and have been known to leave the house without my cell phone - often.

Thank goodness. Turns out it was a premature Aprils Fools joke. He was excited because all his friends congratulated them. I was stressing. They had just had a big fight the week before and her mom really dont like him so we wernt thrilled.

Facebook sounds intriguing. Seems you can keep up with a lot of goings on but at the same time it is info overload. I like my peace and quiet and I aint ready to open up to the world so I think I am going to pass as well. I will get my info from the wife. If ya need me just call or drop an email.
