Overheard at the Resturant

As we were waiting for our meal last nite we heard the ladies behind us talking about "Jersey Shore".

One lady says "Did you know I am the same size as Snooki"?

Imagine the self restraint I had to exercise to not look over the seat.

TV Just Got Good

I have a new guilty pleasure. I have recently discovered the new reality show, “Sons Of Guns”.

I’m a tinkerer and have always enjoyed the shows where they build and modify things. I also enjoy shooting occasionally. But a show where they build and modify guns!! Oh My!!

I was thinking, I could do that. And they are hiring.

Excuse me but is me but does this show make my neck look red?

OH!! Canada, You've Changed

Softball season is in. So Saturday morn I took Little A to her first practice of the year. On the way home we drive by this large patch of Bamboo that grows right up to the edge of the road. Little A says wow Bamboo!!

I thought it grew in Canada

where the Koalas are.

So much for her geography.

Moonlighting

Some of you may or may not know I own a small machine shop where I work on the side at night. I also do some computer drafting and design occasionally. I seem to have had some type of side work most of my life. I read one time "If you cant make ends meet and are only working 40 hours a week then you aint using all the options available to you". While I dont have to, I do enjoy the challenges.

Monday night one of my clients called and asked for some help with his Solidworks drawings so I stopped in on the way home to see what he needed. He said he needed to get these drawings out to another shop in case he had to ship out later in the week. Oh ok, no prob. I worked his issues out and then asked where he was going.

What?? Really???

Seems he has a side job too. He was going to a foreign country as part of an extraction team. Now I have known this guy for 15 yrs or so. I worked with him at a prior job before he left to start this business. I would have NEVER, EVER guessed he would be a part of something like this. I think it is pretty cool. If nothing else it takes guts.

My question to you: Whats the oddest/wildest job that you or someone you know does?
