One of the last exhibits we saw was the lions.
Being ten she has a comment for everything. Very similar to when she was 9 or 8 or 7 even.
She said in a daddy lion voice, "Hurry back down here, I can't hold my leg up like this forever".
Out loud. In a crowd.
She got a few laughs.
They may never let her give Zoo tours.

Sounds like it was a fun and memorable time!
Our children should never meet. Between the comments and sarcasm, we'd never be allowed anywhere.
That's actually a great way to spend the birthday.

It was a great day. Weather was perfect. Not a bad drive. Food was good.
They had signs everywhere about the animals being in breeding season. She had already commented on the Giraffes fighting. I should have expected it.

Not that I am a zoo expert but this(NC Zoo in Asheboro) was a really nice zoo. Plenty of shade.and places to rest and eat. Aside from the fact that our feet hurt and the the zoo closed at 5:00 and it was 5:10 we were in no hurry to leave.

There are so many things that we should never do and we are always tempted to do just to see what happens. She is an outside youngin and loves playing with boys.
Might be a fun experiment.
