As we were waiting on our food, the booth beside us was talking about their upcoming trip to Seattle and maybe taking a day trip to Vancouver. One of the girls was asking what sites were famous there. You know like the Space Needle in Seattle. The other girl asked, "don't they have the Vancouver Dam?". The boyfriend asked if she meant the Hoover Dam. She said "oh yea, We should go there!".

Oh dang...when did they move Hoover dam??? I live in Seattle and I must have missed that one.
Yeah. That could have been me... I am not so good in geography. In fact, I could not even tell you what state the Hoover dam is in.
I can tell you that it is not in Vancouver. :)
In my defense though I know the whole eastern seaboard. What can I say, if there's no ocean coastline, I was simply not interested.
And this is why it's so fun to eavesdrop :)
Here's to a relaxing father's day weekend.
Btw, did you guys order the macadamia nut brownie or the Jamaican coconut pie?
LOL! That's hilarious! When did the Canadians import the Hoover dam? I must have missed that day in history class ;)
I think this is like when Jay Leno goes to the streets and asks the street folk questions....it is amazing how stupid people are...
You are hilarious...!
Jolene, The dinner was great. We had a Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer so there was no room for dessert.
YUM! Spicy, delicious and totally addicting.
There is always another day for dessert.
Wow, being from Canada - I can't believe I haven't visited that attraction and bought the t-shirt.
Thanks for the smile. BTW - hope you had a fantastic Father's Day.
Well at least someone in their party knew the Hoover dam. Having spent a good amount of time in Seattle (great city) I know there are two different Vancouver cities - one in Washington and one in British Columbia (the one most people know about). They are opposite directions from Seattle. Listening in at public places can be interesting.
